Many people don't seem to realize the frustrations of maintaining order on the server. I apologize for my actions against Renzatic earlier, however you have to realize that I have to deal with the same shit from everyone.

Funny thing is that everyone pretty much says this, when on the topic. But when it comes down to actual moderation, if you're the person who "knocked" something off the table, you always seem to refute it. I had this issue with Mr Duck. He blew up some spawn, I asked him to repair the damages to the structures that Zerker has so kindly created for those spawning new on the server. He was running from the scene so I ran after him, wacked him once, and told him to go fix the damages. He then got into an argument with me telling me that it wasnt his fault, that I should ask nicely, that I hit him, etc etc. I understand if I killed you or something, but one wack to get your attention hardly merits such behavior. As far as it not being your fault... well we've already covered that. Anywho, it boiled down to him refusing to do so because it either wasnt his fault or I was a big meany or whatever, so I killed him. Felt good.

Moving on, I've had similar problems with various people. Then came Renz...

So apparently, I wasn't direct enough. Apparently I didn't ask nicely. Apparently this just wasnt common sense.
You know what really pisses me off, however? This is a community, we mostly know each other. If I'm mad about, say, the farm
you wiped out without replanting (it takes a few hours for the whole thing to regrow, btw), even if you're not too sure about
what that means or hwo to fix it, you probably have an inclination by now that you did something wrong. So wouldn't you,
at the very least, say "Hey Alch sorry about the farm dude I didn't really know I was supposed to" or anything of that nature?

All in all, I'll tell you what I learned. Moderation is SHIT. Everyone is an armchair quarterback. Everyone is LAWFUL GOOD when it comes

So, fuck it. The population of the server is too small currently to self moderate. Factions/polls/trial by combat would only work in a

No I've had enough. Dethtoll was gonna be a moderator, now. He was helping me out. He's the last person I'd expect this from. I gave him some potions so I could test the splash damage on this potion because on Sxerks it did... 2 hearts of damage. I wasnt sure if it was due to his armor though. So I try it on someone I trust and he gets on the forum calling me everything but the kitchen sink? No, forget it. None of you are worth having a community with. I'm not going to pay for this server for you guys to ruin it. I dont understand, I -didn-t kill him, I didnt attack him outright like some sort of teamkiller. I gave him some instant health potions and tried an AoE spell that hurts BOTH of us, whomever is in range. I didnt try/intend/nor succeed at killing him. So thats enough. Its just kinda silly, everyone who flings shit at me telling me I overreact or I react too quickly or whatever, when I barely spelled your name wrong and you hissy fit log off and tell me off on the forums? Yeah... ok. I'd love to say "ok guys lets regroup! cool ppl pm me for access!" But honestly, that would never work.

Lets face it, Minecraft is a sandbox game. It's about a bunch of kids playing in the sand, throwing sand in eachothers eyes and sometimes tearing down eachothers sand castles. And at best of times, it's a bunch of kids building the best damn sandcastle ever. Unfortunately, however, this community is built up of a bunch of asshats who could never successfully play within ten feet of eachother. Talk about taking a game too seriously?

Edit: You know, in retrospect, I dont want to do that. Because truth be told Necival, Kanchi, and I are still going to play on the server. Oh and as stated earlier, bob is going to be a server admin now so I can step down from this for a while. It's rather tiring.

Again, just to be thorough, lets outline the recent events and how they relate to you, the gamers.

Killing someone for no reason will not be tolerated.
Admins cannot use people as their test subjects. This will be explicit from now on, god forbid someone have a personal issue with being granted equipment/items in exchange for losing a few hearts.

Thats about it, not much has changed. Basically, TL;DR would say "dehttoll had a hissy fit cause Alchemist used a harming potion on him, while supplying him with health potions. Dethtoll ragequit and insulted Alchemist on forums. Dethtoll left to bancamp."

Seriously, if I straight up grief you or kill you in game, call me on it, please. No one is ever going to be banned because of this. But start insulting me as much as your fingers can muster? Actually it gives me every right to be an ass. Your right, however, is to not participate if you dont like how the server is run. And in the interest of hosting a server, I would want people to stay, no? Thats how that works.

Basically, I understand what you're saying but you've seemed to misread my intentions here. I am an asshole. I am not very sensitive. However, I have tried to establish a "Friendly place" to get people to play. If someone turns on that, I go back to being an asshole. From now on, I wont sugar coat it, lest you get it confused. I'll fucking ban you for whatever fucking reason I can com up with. End of story. I dont want to, however. I want people to play. So how about you just play and dont mess with my farm and everything should be fine.
