After being blown about 10 times because of warp lag, I'd have to say I'm still in support of not only starting a new map, but disabling warping completely.

I said before, it was Notch's fault. :joke:
Edit:
Whilst searching your place I hear what I think is a slimer.
I do not know what made me laugh more - the fact that i stumbled on it - or that you thought someone might and left a sign there :D
Also ... SLIMER !? O_O

So yes, it's updated. /.../ Basically, I'm asking people to play fair and not do anything that might be considered cheating. We're testing it right now, and it would be nice to set some date soon for the official launch. Any ideas?
While i was testing - i did not have any lag at all :D (hope it stays that way). Official launch ... holidays make it kind of difficult. Never know when you can visit.
Oh ... and i know in what direction and distance the old spawn is :D - i pretend i have no idea from now on (uups, forgot that my compass mod shows my coordinates in the world)

This, sethome is a great feature which is very much needed, but warps just encourage people to not travel and just set up warps to jump around with.
It also made it so that everyone just warped back to old town and didn't build a new one.

So this is fail already eh. I should probably give up.
EDIT: ok warps are for ops only and shouldn't be used as a rule. I'm not going to reset the map because people have already started building unless there is a lot of demand for it.

Cheers, BH. I love the server how it is now, and I am playing everyday again. Thanks a ton, man! :thumb:

Had a look around the new server. Really epic houses you guys have been building! :thumb:
I remember back on the first or second world we had, Manwe said he was gonna build underground gardens in the Old Quarter and I said YOURE CRAZY MANWE ITLL NEVER WORK but just now I went into the basement of his house and HES GONE AND DONE IT! There are TREES down there! :D
I also liked the infrastucture you guys have made. Roads and stuff. Very nice.

+sniff+ I remember when he first showed me that garden and chatted me his plan...I was so blown away when the ideas we came up with came to fruition. Definitely good times!

Well I'm not exactly the first one to achieve this and there are far more impressive things out there (and my trees would never have grown if not for the advice of zombe, my ceiling was simply too low). But I actually got the idea for the underground garden when I visited Necival's server a few days ago. They have a whole underground treefarm there right under the huge castle. I think on a survival server it's a must-have for easy access to wood.

Exactly the same over here + can't get on Necival's server either (although that one gives me a java socket error). I can reach anodal.org (www) though.
By the way, what'll happen to the world on Necival's server? Can it be ported over into this one a few days walk from here or would that require several dozen man-hours and/or a terawatt supercomputer? Sorry if it's already been mentioned, I vaguely remember something like it but can't seem to find it.
Edit: it's working again :)
