There was a server crash half an hour ago but at the time you posted it should have been already back up. Try again?
As for importing stuff from Necival's server, I think it could be done with some work but will not look good because of the different base terrain. Shall be investigated.

Hm, a few problems with that indeed:
* chunk discontinuities - not really a problem - we have thous already from Notch's updates anyway - they sure look horrifyingly ugly tho.
* biome coloring - that could look bad.
* and where to put nec's land - coordinates would place it far from creative (we settled an long-ass way away from original spawn that is always created as close to 0:0 as possible) and far from current settlement also.
