just got home to find the minecraft server not running >.> ... anyway the server updated to 1.4 now. i was able to get all the new mod updates too :)

most of these mods just do one thing:

General enables most of the features that hmod had (warps, homes, playerlist, MOTD, etc... i disabled warping though since we have warp gates from Multiverse)

Permissions is self explanatory :P (but also fundamental and required by every mod)

iChat (which I settled on for the chat system) allows custom pre|suffixes per permission group, and also can display [world] and [health] information.

I still have iConomy running, but I have to check all the database setup and configurations because it doesn't update the account balances.

I've opted for staying with general & iChat for now at least. CraftIRC seems glitches by all accounts of it, and I couldn't get it running, so it'll have to wait. Help [mod] (which generates a help list based off of all the available commands) & Pickboat are running too. And of course Multiverse (currently 4 worlds running smooth).


Basically what happened was the mod that BH used months ago stopped being developed and was replaced by a whole community. Where before you just had the one (hMod) that handled everything, you now have a mod management shell, and you load the specific mods that you want to run.


Zombe, that quote about the demolition - is that my server you are referring to? if so, there was a glitch with craftbukkit when I first was testing it out where it generated new chunks when it couldn't load the old ones... unfortunately I didn't notice for a few weeks because I wasn't visiting the old castle area... by the time i noticed, i couldn't simply roll back and remove all of the new structures. I do have a backup of it pre-glitch erase, if you want to stitch the new & old worlds together [with some minecraft world editing suite], i can provide the world files.... I just haven't had the time to work on that yet.

[EDIT] ^^ while that is true, I actually read your post that Boxsmith was quoting. Originally I only read the short quote. Could it have been a creeper explosion? Someone added lava to my... dome thing...? Interesting

Me has some usable internet again (:rolleyes:) - got to visit some servers.

Ooh ... 1.4 server. Got to try: spawned on some fireplace altar outside => burning. Then the world changed to nether somewhy (!? wth?) - 3 hearts left. ... ah ... seems i stepped on some magical world-change sport after fleeing from flames.

edit: woops ...

Using /playerlist is not allowed for me (tanzanite) @ your server - so i tried to destroy some blocks assuming i have no rights at all => made a hole in the platform that i can not fix x_x.

edit: nvm ... fixed.
