I've grown pretty fond of Eldron's texture pack too. Not sure I like the tree trunk and gravel textures though. And the smoothstone seems a bit off somehow. Maybe it needs to be darker or something?

Necivals maps is mc.necival.com
We are basing the Necival world as a hub world,aso basically we can cater to everyones needs. IF you dont like PVP, make a pvp world, and a portal to to. You can even have access restrictions to who can visit your world. I like this setup because I get the full experience of minecraft, but also theres a portal for people to come in and admire my handiwork, if I so desire. There are also Nether-region worlds and PVP only worls, where we plan to make an arena full of weaponry an all sorts of devilry. Right now the only words that exist are:
PVE
PVP
Home world (peaceful)
and Nether
I am adding *My* world now, it's a regular PVE world but I think its a bit better than the PVE world we currently have, however Ton has already built there so we wont stretch it . BTW chat works between worlds so we can all be connected.
Concerning the differences of opinions and what people want and dont want, I tink this i the smartes way t ogo, Give it ashot, I have been playing single player for some time now but I cant wait to get my portal up so people can come visit my side of the universe.
I try to think of the portals as gateways not to other worlds, simply other regions of the world.

Necivals server messed up my account there. After relogging yesterday I was in pitch blackness; Placing a torch I found myself in some arbitrary cave and after trying to find out whether I was near my camp I died to some unknown fire.
I respawned next to the portals and not my bed/camp, which is far off and untraced. :erg:
I'm now on BHs.

Actually I do play on BH's, in fact that's where I've been the whole time... It's just that I went and checked necival's the other day and I was lost so that's what I was talking about. I thought from your post that you knew of a map like what BH has online, sorry for confusion.
Yeah I love eld's pack too, it's the one that I've been using.

ahh yea, beds don't work with the multiverse mod right now. I'll be working on that after this semester ends. I'll be happy to make a portal to your home if you'd like. I gave Mods the capability to create portals too, but the process is complicated.
as far as the random spawning in cave... were you on the monsters map before I reset it? It was giving a lot of chunk error in the server logs so I reset everything besides Ton's house (I didn't realize anyone else was building in it).
How is the performance of my server for all of you? Obviously for me it runs perfect, but I'm connecting through LAN. dethy came on for about 5 minutes and he was saying that it was lagging. No one else has mentioned it though, so I'm curious.

i had one before, but i haven't had time to figure out what to do for multiverse mapping... i'll see what i can get working though. i like having a map too
