So watching everyone else get bored with the game and frustrated with its idiosyncrasies 2 months later was funny because I did that before it was cool.
Not as hilarious as it was getting to watch you throw a tantrum and blow up all your in game stuff.

On another note, thunderstorms are totally rad. The rain sound becomes quiet and muffled when you get under a few blocks of cover too!

@gunsmoke:
Minecraft on consoles?:eww:
I can't imagine the game working too well on a console. Although, I suppose with the new motion controllers both have now it could work?
So now you are an elitist? There are like 4 controls in MC. Why wouldn't it work on a controller? Oh, and there is a more complicated version of MC on consoles already...(as kuuso also pointed out).

I think he was mostly referring to things like the live inventory management, the click and drag capabilities, etc. which while possible on consoles would be much less fluid and (I would think) be incredibly frustrating in situations where quick inventory management was key. Also (this is merely my own taste) I can't imagine the game being nearly as immersive without mouselook and keyboard shortcut capabilities, or left-click/right-click world interaction.

More complicated how?

Elitist? What the fuck are you going on about?:oNamecalling now? Come on now smokey, you're better than that. I dunno what your problem with me is, but I didn't come to pick a fight. (I thought you wanted to avoid drama?)
Fortresscraft? It's an obvious ripoff of minecraft, just look at the name itself! While writing this post I checked out your youtube link and found a (

Now I see what you mean, gunsmoke. This guy does bring up a good point actually (Also stuff that I've heard before.) And no, I've never been a PC elitist. (Though I can be honest and say that I've been a PC gamer for much of my life and have felt somewhat bitter towards consoles in the past.) I have been one of those guys that say the console wars are stupid and silly. And honestly, I have a PS3 and a Wii. You know that.
Having said that, I didn't (and still don't) think minecraft would be suited towards console. However, I don't deny that it
could work. Some games just work out better on different platforms. For instance, I think FPSes work better on PC than they do on console. I'm referring to controls pretty much. (Which is what I was thinking of when I wrote my post I guess - the fact that minecraft is a First Person style game. Although there is the third person option, so that could be used in the console version. Though to be honest the third person, at least the way it is set up in minecraft currently, is a bit annoying because of the camera angle.)
Also, have you noticed how RTS games haven't been a big hit on consoles? (At least not to my knowledge.) That's because the way they control do not lend themselves well to consoles, and probably there are other reasons too for why they aren't there. (Like a lack of a target market big enough to justify it.)
Polytourist brings up good points. Though after reading that I could think of a way around the drag and drop nature of the pc game. For instance, you could have an item be selectable and a little window comes up and gives you options on how to put it into your inventory. (Say, put X amount into inventory, 10 into inventory, 64 into inventory, whatever. I'm thinking of how runescape does items that you want to store in your bank.)

But it should be noted that they don't work in multiplayer. As do the weather effects - they're not working or present in multiplayer either (apparently).
The last patch addressed that; Not only did I get rid of that "press for inventory" tooltip, while I was happily mining along I was suddenly surprised by some heavy thunder above.

Yes.
I was just on the server the other night and I saw rain and snow.. Was quite a storm too, it was really long. I caught some snow that got formed on the skyway as I was going along it.
I also found out from a friend that if creepers get hit by lightning, they become super creepers!:wot: At first I thought he was pullin my leg, but then I saw a video online and that confirmed it.

Dude, relax. If that is your idea of name calling... come on. We've been dudes for a while now. You know me a bit better than that. I stand by my post, however. But what is up with all of your strike-outs in your post?
