I would like to propose that my loyal Minecraft friend, creator of the Death Cone (That's no moon, lol), the always helpful 'rtn' be allowed op privileges. He missed donate time, and he is a damn worthy recipient. I understand if no, but a closed mouth can't get fed and I doubt he would ask himself. Thanks for the consideration, Briarios H.

That does not differ much from whitelist - why not use that? Also, the mod you are using seems to support groups. "can not do anything besides looking around" as default group until cleared - sounds reasonable. Iirc it allowed to even use non-nerfer/disabled tnt/fire/lava for specific groups (ie, person has made significant buildings) ... or something to that effect.
From the experience of others, it seems: freedoms must be sacrificed or the server hits the shitter - no exceptions.
Disabling fire was a good first step. immho, this will not be anywhere near enough, though.

Just make the password something that could easily be guessed by anyone in our community. Y'know, "goddammitdethtoll" or something like that.

No just ask people to PM some of us OPs for it, and we will pass it out to registered members only that way. It could be changed every month or so, for a bit of extra security to protect against loose-lips sending the PW out to the world.
