Waiting for bukkit to be updated.
Here's a list of people who asked me to preserve their buildings. Can you guys confirm I'm not missing someone?

Server is online, some buildings (http://anodal.org/minecraft/map/#/56/64/561/-5/mcmapNormal) were saved on request. It might be a bit buggy at first, but it works.
I invite people who asked me to transfer their buildings to the new world to smooth up the borders around what was saved so that it looks a bit better than it does, I didn't have much time to do it myself.

The old world was saved (~550MB zipped) and will be available for everyone to download as soon as I upload it somewhere.

Anyway, TTLG@anodal is a fresh new 1.8 world so get adventuring!

I had to restart my modem and remove the whole %user%\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft folder to be able to login again. Maybe you can try that.

EDIT: The first (http://anodal.org/minecraft/map/#/-704/64/-1406/-3/mcmapNormal) village was found!

If you're using the old minecraft.exe launcher it doesn't work, you need to download the newer launcher.

The cliffs right before the village are insane.

Wait, there's a new launcher? Or are you talking about the "new" launcher that was uploaded quite a while ago? (The one that added the links on the right side and the news on the game before you login)

I had to download a new .exe to get it to work. I had been using one from at least a year ago, though.
