I cannot get on anodal. I got MC updated fine, though. Oh well, eventually it'll all come together.

Yeah, I can't get on either. Seems like the server is down? The interface says "cannot reach server"
The "new" launcher has been out for a while, I just checked the download from minecraft.net and it is the same as the one I've been using. But yeah, if you've been using the old launcher without the news in it, then you should get the new launcher for sure.

And yet I restarted the server this morning. Either some asshole is trying to bring it down by doing some arcane stuff that even I couldn't imagine or the 1.8 server is super buggy.
Back online, but who knows for how long.

The last thing I was doing was putting stone in a furnace. The only other person that was on was PaupiLuigi(sp??)

I dunno. Maybe the world became corrupted. I don't want to believe that 1.2 GB of RAM allocated to Minecraft aren't enough.
EDIT: Uh I didn't know that there was a 1.8.1 server. I thought it was a client-only update. Hope it's better now.

I was getting memory errors playing 1.8 in singleplayer too.
