OH shaddap, it's still fun. Have you even played the newer versions?
Jusal on 24/9/2011 at 20:13
Actually, they have added an alternative creative gameplay mode in the full game, which is exactly what deth seemed to be looking for last time. I'm not sure if it's available in multiplayer by default but there are probably servers out there that have it on with mods if nothing else.

Yeah, even I had fun with the creative mode... and you can convert those maps into SMP maps as well...
Trance on 24/9/2011 at 20:58
Server admins/ops are capable of changing players' game modes between creative and survival. Granted this doesn't remove any survival map elements or mobs, but it removes death and limited construction supplies.

Server down? Also, are you running 1.8 or 1.9?
gunsmoke on 26/9/2011 at 01:48
I had the same questions.

Sorry for the downtime. I added RAM and CPU to the server exactly one year ago, so it's renewal time and I'm struggling to find the money (not that I intend to have a paypal drive again).
So until the beginning of october, the server will be running with only one GB of RAM, I hope it'll be enough.
It's running 1.9-pre but if people want me to revert back to 1.8.1, we can.

Wow. How quickly a year passes!

Agh, has TTLG been down all day? I've tried a couple times to get on today, and now I'm finally able to get on...
Anyway, I'd rather that you keep the server on 1.8, considering that's an "official" release, and it only recently came out. Being that 1.9 isn't really official, but rather a "pre release" that means that you have to go find the secret download link to play it, rather than using minecraft's built in updater. It's not that I'm being lazy, because it's not that hard to go find the download, but my point is that I'd rather play the 1.8 for now. Plus, you are basically forcing those of us who have been using 1.8 to now go and get 1.9 installed. But that's just my opinion on the situation.
The Alchemist on 27/9/2011 at 01:18
You want me to just send you 1.9 >_> its really worthwhile, its not like it breaks anything from what I can tell.
