No, but thanks. I'd really rather wait to play 1.9 once it's "officially" released.

I ignored Minecraft forever because watching all the videos and reading about it just didn't perk my interest. But today, someone at work suckered me into playing it.
I only stopped long enough to drive home. I am still playing. A+.
Might check out these multiplayer shenanigans soon.

Man, I really love the direction this game is taking. The updated combat makes adventuring worthwhile, and the exp will mean something when I can finally put it towards something. But little things, like finding chests in dungeons and abandoned mine shafts is a nice dungeon crawly touch, they usually contain good materials too, like quite a bit of refined silver etc. I hope the chests in the stronghold contain something of greater value. It would be nice if you found arrows and swords as such as well, also if he includes a refining system for +1 or +2 weapons... elemental weapons to use vs certain special mobs or mob bosses would be awesome too, but as is I'm pretty content and I know these sort of things are too come, but the reason I'm posting is actually because of the experience I've just had. I finally left my comfort zone of extremely fleshed out caves and a small ravine where I have a portal to the Nether (Nether castles are also rather eerie, they remind me of Quake1. However, they contain no use yet, no chests as far as I can tell). I ventured far enough to get me lost, and I found the most expansive mountain range I've ever seen in the game, and beautiful too, with several lava/waterfalls, and the valley of the mountains is submerged in a huge lake. The scale is ridiculous. So I got to the very top of the highest, largest mountain, and drilled straight down. Soon enough I fell into, again, the largest cave system I've ever seen. Not just large in length, but the cavern that I broke through is -huge-. I've gotten terribly lost down there, like fucking lost. No fucking way I can find my way out, no idea how deep I am either... I found another ravine, but this one makes the last one look like a joke. It's fucking wide as hell and huge. It goes on farther than I can see, and its bed is completely covered in lava. Sure I've found a lot of materials down here, but as I explore recklessly deeper into the cave, I realize... I'm going to die of starvation. :( I have rotten meat however, from zombies. Maybe I can live off that, however I know that it poisons you. There should be some rule where if you eat too much zombie meat you become one... Anyway, enjoying this so much...

Notch turned about bunch of you guys into Minecraft junkies? I used to beta test WurmOnline when Notch was one of the developers. He used what he learned from Rolf to make Minecraft. I will never play Minecraft because Notch was such a jerk to me. It can be addictive I suppose...
