By the way, Notch is releasing 1.9pre3 tomorrow.
I wish Notch would stop this fucking pre-release nonsense.
Love the underground minimap-station (~4:40) thing :D

1.9 pre 3 is out and people say strongholds now have a new funky portal to sky-dimension. Anyone seen it?

The new update somehow made potionmaking worse. It's all the old guesswork but with the added tedium of waiting for the potion to brew. I want the cauldron back. :erg:

I agree. I think those should either be closed beta testing or just internal testing.

Thirded on the this Pre-release nonsense.

I for one am super glad we're back to the old pre 1.0-style releases: large updates with loads of undocumented and broken new stuff thrown in the wild, quantity and novelty first, quality and ironing out later. I'm finally enjoying myself again (solo at the moment).
The "pre-release" stuff is silly though. Just make it an official beta and don't be afraid of 1.9.1, 1.9.2 and 1.9.3 goddammit.

Yeah, I'm having a blast too. No one has posted yet what the difference is when you enchant a weapon or tool... anyone know?

Performance has been drastically improved. I can actually play on the TTLG server now!
Briareos: Can you reset the Nether? Its way too hard to find Blaze rods in the current one.

I saw these guys making land mines in Minecraft. It cracked me up. I could imagine building a little hut/house in the game, putting some chests in there that can be seen through a window, and putting a few mines around. Then when another player goes in to steal supplies, BOOM!
They were even showing players how to make the mines invisible.

Thats an easy one, good idea though!
