Just a lurker here, but since i joined the minecraft wagon, i'll share my first creation: Evil Moai statue!

If you people like it, i'd like to make a bigger one near spawn, possibly flanking a hill, à la Mt Rushmore. I've spotted a good place just behind the TTLG letters, on the hillside facing north, south of dethtoll's beachhouse. Since you would see from your terrace dethtoll, tell me if you'd like it or not.

Great job! We don't have people making this sort of thing around the city so maybe you can help decorate a bit (Statue of Liber....I mean Thievery anyone?) He's also appropriately French :). Just please check with the community before claiming any land in the populated areas, just so that wedont step on each others toes.

I should probably mention that there will be an underground cavern of ~100 block radius under my tower (warp point 'rtn'), so I hope anyone settling in the neighbourhood doesn't have plans for an extensive cellar. It'll be a half-sphere, though, so it'll take up less space closer to the surface.

I suggest you pick a spot that's near town but preferably inland. Alternately, I'm pretty sure there are plenty of good spots north of my beach house (across the water from town.)

Al_B, I hope you don't mind me saying this but you really need to move the LGS logo. It's blocking the TTLG letters.
I suggest you place it somewhere south of the spawn, over the water between the lighthouse and the little wooden cabin.
Alternatively, I think it's not really necessary to build it this time... but that's just me.

Water and leaves are still a bit buggy, but it has lighting and halloween update support :)

No problem - I didn't think it was in too bad a position, but I've only just started it. Feel free to take it down if you want and when I get the time to put it back up again in a better location I will (although like you I'm not 100% sure we need it yet again...)

When the nether gets into smp, that pyramid will be the death of us, can't think of anything more evil to spawn hell from.
