I don't know if you guys have seen the latest blog post but SMP is basically done, it will be out early next week which I think means we will have it in time for thanksgiving! Ive kinda taken a break from MC until this update mostly because I've been busy but I'm defeinitely going to get on soon especially once this update comes in.

I haven't been on due to a combination of disinterest and being busy. I'll definitely come back after the update though.

Yeah, there's a reason why you are getting bored with it: A lack of any real goals. Of course, there's self made goals, that's what's great about sandbox gameplay.
But like The Sims, after a while it gets boring because there's nothing being given to you to do, it's all up to you.
I'm curious about the Sims 3 though, because I heard they added goals to it, and also the world is more opened up since you can go around town and the neighborhood rather than staying at home. (Yeah I've only played the first sims, and I don't have all the expansions either.)
Anyway, back on topic. Survival multiplayer will be nice because you'll be able to kill stuff and armor will actually be useful.:) The only thing I worry about is douchebags f-ing things up.
On a slightly off-topic note, there are already SMP servers I thought..? Just not based off of the alpha code from notch I take it.

No, actually, I do have several projects in mind. But part of it is I've just gotten bored with MC after hopping on pretty regularly for months. I need a break.

I'd like to play, but I'm waiting for the most annoying bugs to be fixed.

Respawning blocks will also be fixed in the upcoming update. :)

You can work around the respawning blocks if you don't rush. Just do one block at a time, and wait until the little block pops out.
