Whoa this is neat. I think your greenery needs more color though. It looks washed out.
Hahaha, and here I've been reluctantly reducing color bit by bit due to feedback in another forum, guess I can't please everyone.

Did something happen to the server? First I thought someone just blew up half my death cone, but upon closer examination it seems most of it just reverted back to how it was several days ago, while some of it didn't (namely some of the grass roof). When the world is saved, is it just parts of it or what? :p
Either way, that was probably close to twenty hours of work wasted. Oh boy.

Result of crash most likely, where some chunks are saved and some others weren't

I'd been working on the interior for the past couple of days, though, so that stuff should've gone through one or two controlled reboots and get saved.
Or maybe my sense of time is off. It was a weird weekend.

The server had an out of memory error, and had to be shut down for a little bit while Briareos fixed the partition. When I logged in afterward, some of my recent work was wrong in weird ways, like the middle of a tunnel having reverted, but not the start or end.

Some chunks were unable to be saved after we ran out of hard disk space. This has been sorted out and should not happen again. Sorry to everyone who lost some of their work.
I know it seems that the server is not stable and always running through new problems, but a lot of my scripts, architecture and security measures are fresh and being consolidated as we speak. I am fairly confident we should have smooth sailing from the next days on.
Also, please note that the server software itself is still pretty buggy and can behave in strange ways when loading/saving new chunks :(
And... pretty surprise coming later today!

All in all things are going incredibly smoothly, considering the game is in alpha. Little losses are good practice for the eventuality that we might have to start from the beginning at some point when there's an update that isn't compatible with current worlds, or some such. Better to try and more enjoy the process and less the result.
(That's not to say I won't go into catatonic shock if my stuff gets wiped.)

Kuuso, I had to rebuild the comp area due to griefers.
It's crude, but should be adequate.
And I entered the comp.

I think I may enter the competition myself, if only 'cuz I like to think big. ;)
Pandora screenshots tonight most likely.
