zombe, even though it's toned down, water is can be still rather annoying.
I got randomed on a map where was NO water nearby. As a fitting revenge, I decided to make a water source inside by home. So I took like 8 buckets, wandered to the closest beach of the ocean... only fourty minutes away. Anyway, after being chased by skeletons, almost eaten by a surprise zombie and nearly blown up like twenty times, I succesfully make it back to my humble abode above the clouds.
After some preparations, I made a few springs on the top of my tower-castle-thing, and due to a few little miscalculations on my part, the first thing that happened is that the ENTIRE structure filled with water. (

Which would've been far less annoying if the current didn't push me away from every ladder (and also catapulting me out of the building a few times, to glorious attempts at high speed uncontrolled flight). So I had to go up to the top by bunnyhopping on floating pieces of dirt .
Then when I re-routed the water. Victory! Oh, er oops, not. Now that the water didn't actually fill the tower, it instead flooded the entire region sorrounding the tower. In the end I had to shut down half the springs so there would be a few small lakes and not a huge moat that noone can cross...
(

I also seem to have developed a deep and powerful hate against creepers, who are somehow able to sneak into the building despite it having no entrance whatsoever. :weird: I would love to go and exterminate all the last of them suckers, but so far the winning strategy seems to be boldly running the heck away... maybe when I'll have arrows I'll be able to kill them. Also, arrows: bloody things are next to impossible to come by. Barghah!

Assi - Mix sticks with feathers and the stone-like stuff you get from gravel blocks (not the little gravel blocks you connect, but the other sharp-looking stone head) to make arrows.
:)

If I get home early enough tonight (before 1 AM), I'll join in on the fun.
It's a huge shame. I love this game, but I haven't been able to play it since last Friday. I can't afford to. I know if I start playing, I won't quit, and I'll wake up miserable after 3 hours of sleep. :(

Shut the fuck up and get back into Minecraft, we need more arrows, dammit.

Is the server spawning us in a different spot? I can't find the old castle!
I'm starting to have dreams of burrowing into blocks. Damn you all to hell.

I logged into it last night (GMT + 1) and couldn't find my hilltop fort either.
I assumed you'd created a new map, although I didn't walk that far. How big are these maps, anyway?

Are people using the server given two pages back? 92.243.28.113:25565?
When I try to connect, I get "Connection Lost. End of Stream".

They can spawn anywhere where there's dark. That means pretty much anywhere at night and indoors, unless you are using torches or lava/magma to light the place up.

Server hadn't been updated in more than one week since I was away in Ireland. Now up to date and working (hopefully).
