Hmm, thanks.

I really need to figure out a method for not getting hopelessly lost in the massive cave systems. I lost a ton of iron and gold ore due to not being able to find the exit, figured fuck it, I'll just tunnel straight up, and promptly got suffocated by gravel. By the time I could find where I'd died, all my stuff had evaporated. @#$%!
My system is to bring down flowers.
Yellow flowers = main route (supplemented by signs where necessary)
Red flowers = depleted or uninteresting off shoot.
I've also started using the red torches you can make with the red powder (found near lava lakes), but not in a consistent fashion!
I also put a low wall of gravel across useless tunnels that I often seem to enter by mistake. Easy enough to dig up if you need to, but prevents blundering.

Okay I caved in (hurrdurr) and bought this thing. Seems fun!
Having a hard time figuring out which ore is which atm. Got myself some wood and cobblestone. Managed to make a workbench, stairs and a stone pick axe and shovel + torches. No idea what to do now.

Black = coal
Brown = iron
Those are the most important ones.

Oh the horror! I sent some mine carts down into the pits. When I got down to where they had stopped I found a smug little bastard creeper sitting in one of the empty carts. He blew a hole in my track system and the contents of the other cart all to hell. I thought they would only spawn in dark areas- is this not true? I'm lighting up the place as I go.

Gunny, I'm currently on steam as 'Sinister'. Already on your friends list mang. :)
I've had a max of three people logged into the server at once but it's typically one or two. Hopefully we can get someone to set up a single solid ttlg server somewhere that can handle the stress of many people logging in.
Is there a way to get iron in multi without working furnaces? The /iron command doesn't seem to work anymore.

Yep, the sad reality of having customers.
Like with the first time when he got stressed and nearly burned himself out, and he said he would take a vacation before going fulltime, what a shitstorm that caused.

I'm on the 900, the one with the 4gb fast ssd, and 16gb slow ssd, I recall it has a different gpu from the newer ones.
I've just managed to get it running on my Eee 901 (Intel Mobile 945 Express Chipset / GMA950), although it's not what you'd call a joy to play. Usually about 7 - 12 fps on minimum graphical detail.
