What do you guys suppose are the system requirements for this game? The graphics seem basic enough, but I'm only running an 8600GT in a laptop, and depending on how well the game's optimized, I could imagine framerate problems in larger scenes. Does the free demo give enough of an idea of the alpha version's performance?
edit: nevermind. I hadn't actually tried the free version, but now that I have, I don't think there's any way the full version wouldn't run fine.

A few hours ago the website kept hanging when I tried to register. And it looks like it's still having problems; I can't get an account.

It's overloaded at the moment and Notch is away in Finland so it'll be a few days until it's fixed.

I just thought about making a Bonehoard-like tomb/halls, lit with enough torches so you can see where you're going, but still have dark corners so monsters spawn. I think it would make a very nice tomb crawl.
I'll need to make some diagrams first though.

Just recently i was building an open mineshaft in the middle of a large sea. Built a construct around the site that was pleasing to eye and lit it up paranoid style (way more torches than necessary) - so i could work in assured peace and harmony. Got it drained of water and started the digging operation itself when one dropped in front of me and ssssssshiitt!! - blew a sizable hole in me and my construct (and my pants!!). Quite problematic to restore the site with all the streamy-leaks that also washed most of the torches away - and the ladder-wall gone. In the middle of f* night.
No idea where it came from. I actually heard something in water before but assumed it the be a Pig that paddled around there. After the mishap - it dawned on me that i did not hear a single oinc ! x_x

Yeah, all monsters can swim. It probably spotted you from the shore.
