Since 2004 I have played Thief: The Dark Project twice and won on the normal and hard modes. Now I am playing expert mode in Thief: Gold and guess what? Yesterday I was playing The Sword mission and I found the statue whose tongue you can pull which opens up the underwater gate. I had never known about this before!

So you can imagine my surprise when I swam through the tunnel and came out in the "mini world" and saw the little dollhouses, and when I entered the living room, I really began wondering if this was a bug in Thief Gold! Remember, I had never heard about this part of the game before and I didn't know if I had accidentally discovered some Easter egg that the developers included in the game as a joke.

Anyway, the only thing missing was a cat curled up by the fire that would chase and eat Garrett if he made too much noise! It was a very zany and bizarre addition to Constantine's mansion.

Little land & big world...I still have nightmares set there occassionally. But, it was a really cool thing to stumble upon for the first time.

From memory, its not so much a statue, as a pillar/column, I thought.

Bottom level, with the water passages and canals. You have to jump in one of them, I can't remember which one, head north. You end up in a small room, another area, that has 4 pillars in that room. You have to jump out of the water, and look behind the pillars. There is a small red flip switch to activate a gate in that very room.

God its been forever since I've done that. I know I'm close.
Someone else chime in with more details, etc.
