Excellent. Thank you so much. :) I should be able to track down the problem now.
Once I find out which lines they're on, I'll double check each letters measurements for accuracy. A pixel or two off on one or two letters can throw the whole thing way out of whack.
These were just a few examples. I also get these errors in ingame text (german subtitles of conversations).

Yup, they will appear everywhere. The letters are all pulled from the same font map. It's essentially just a texture with all the letters and symbols the game uses. When creating the new one, I used the original as a template but still had to measure each letter as Thief needs to know exactly where to look for each letter on the bitmap. :) Once it's fixed on the texture, it will work for everything.

Very frustrating. The font map is off by 1 letter somewhere before the last 3 lines. Can't seem to find which letter is measured incorrectly. Hopefully soon though.

I've tried installing every different combination of the contents of the minimalist download, but to no avail. The writing disappears from my screen. I can't see my health. I can't see the menu. I can't read any letters or see my objectives. I can't see items in the bottom right corner. Why is everything not working? I desperately want to play the minimalist project, but it cripples my game.
Please help a poor lost fan!

I'd just like to chime in. In the past, I've made some noise about the gameplay changes in the Minimalist Project. But let me say this: I just did a fresh install of TDS, sans mods, for testing purposes - and I had forgotten how horrid it looks by default.
I mean, when I first got the game, I thought the interface and graphics were pretty good; could be improved upon, sure, but not horrid. But now, I just can't go back. Between the Minimalist Project and John P's textures, it really is a whole different animal. Thanks for all of your hard work.

Where did you purchase the game? If it's the downloadable version (direct 2 drive) that is being sold online, it won't work unfortunately. They changed how the files are structured and I unfortunately, I can't afford to buy a copy.

As of yet, I haven't quite finished it yet. Just a matter finding the time to wrap things up. :)
