ARGH!!! I was so worried about the footprints I forgot about the giant blue X-box arrows. I assume I can rename a copy of the texture you sent me for the feet as whatever the name is for the big blue arrows?

Yup, that should work nicely. :)

last question, I promise :) do you know what to rename it to? I don't see a reference to arrow anything in Dynamically Loaded.
I dunno, maybe I'm being a bit anal, but this is going to be a "virgin" T3 experience for me. I've had the game for months, but i just haven't had the time to properly get into it. I've had a few false starts (I've played up through St. Edgar's) but life seems to keep crashing down on me, and 4 or 5 days will go by and the spell gets broken.
Yeah, I'm weird. But the first the thief games were mind-blowing to me. There will never be a new Thief, so it's important to me that I get the most out of this.

Sorry Richard, I didn't see this question until just now. Been a rather horrid week for me.
You would want to rename it to pointyb01.dds

Just a question, but has anyone had any trouble blackjacking people now that the raise blackjack animation is gone? For some reason there have been lots of times where I was pefectly lined up on a guard, was within blackjacking range and thwacked them on the head to absolutely no effect. This has become really agrivating and it's starting to ruin the gameplay. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Is there some sort of maximum range for effective blackjacking or something?
*sigh* If only blackjacking in Thief 3 was based on actually hitting guys on the head, not on getting inside some ill-defined "blackjacking zone" behind the enemy.
edit: Nevermind, I figured out the problem

I wonder if the ultimate goal of this project is to transform TDS into T1/2 completely? :)
IMO, it's not too interesting to have all three games with the same loot chime, death cry, and things like that. TDS is a new game after all.

Oh, don't worry - we'll still have the wonky first-person movement. :D
(Note: I enjoyed TDS.)

Nope, it was an attempt to make it feel more like a continuation of the series rather than a distant relative. :) I enjoy continuity with a series. If TDS had been the first in the series, or a stand alone game, I wouldn't have blinked at it.
I don't know if you have had a chance to get into the editor yet but if you do look into it, mess around and you'll find the opportunity to dig up lots of little details that could be added.
While each one doesn't mean much on their own, as a whole they add a lot of substance to the game and I believe the majority of players truly appreciate substance, regardless of how subtle these details are. :)

Hello, New Horizon!
I don't usually post here, but I have to say that you are the other thing that restored my faith in Thief III (the first is the editior... of course ;)). When I bought the game and played it, I enjoyed the experience, but something was seriously missing. The plot was great, the graphics top notch, level building well done (well, yeah, and a bit too small, esp. the "City"). But those little annoyances added up so much that I didn't really want to replay it either. With the Minimalist Project, the game has been moved one step in the right direction.
What is the right direction? Contrary to a previous poster, I believe thath the right direction is Thief I with better graphics. :laff: Now we need some rope arrows, swimmable water, Hammerites who utter their old sayings and fan missions... Yeah, it is going to be great.
So thanks again, you made my purchase worth the money. :thumb:

P.S.: Man, those little touches are wonderful. Lockpicking. The sound Garrett utters when he dies. The logo. The assassin game mode (challenging, and a good outlet for us bloodthirsty folks). And so on and so on...

I agree with other posters that more options would be nice. I like the AI enhancements, the bug fix, and the play styles. But I don't like the interface, the forced first person, the lockpicking, the removal of the blackjack raise (the animation doesn't look right now), and the briefing font.
