Yes, I would be curious to know why Vigo and others are unable to black jack people myself. I don't seem to have any problems with this on either of my installations.
Hmm. Do you use creeping or crouching when sneaking up on a guard for a knock out?

Depends on the situation. I use the old fashioned "tap" creep or crouching if I'm feeling like taking things slower. Just a matter of different playing styles I guess. From the descriptions, I thought it was a bug.

I don't think the tap-creeping works (If you mean edge forward without actually making a footstep) But I believe crouching is essentially silent...

Yup, you can still tap creep. I do it all the time accross metal plating. :) You're right about crouching, it is completely silent. The footsteps are not in the schema meta file.

Well, it was mostly based on the very high difficulty settings The Minimalist Project installs. They're all set at 3.0, which essentially doubles the difficulty of the default expert mode. :O
....
Thanks, that's exactly what's happening to me to. I'll have a look in the ini file. Out of curiosity, what did you alter the values to?

Just curious if anyone has tried the latest version with edible food. I'm wondering if I made the food too useful. Currently it gives you 1/2 a health point for each piece you eat. I think Thief 2 was 1/4 of a health point. Let me know if you think it's too much.
Whenever I played T2, I would sometimes have to eat TONS of food, just to recover 1 point, so I think it would be good to lower it at least to 1/4... Food doesn't seem as common in T3, though, so 1/4 point seems about right...

Yeah, best to balance it out a bit. If people use it in FM's though...ah well. That can easily be changed. :)

I changed the audio and visual values to 1.9. The others variables I changed to the default expert values.

I tried using Thief Bot but it doesn't seem to work with this version of the Minimalist Project.
:wot: Are you sure? I'll have to test this...

Just tried it out and realised Thiefbot isn't capturing Thief anymore and changing the settings has no effect :(
I tried uninstalling Minimalist and running thiefbot.
Firstly - it seems that several elemants of Minimalist remain even after uninstalling (and after going through a load zone) - the health gems are back to normal but remain on screen, the game menu options are not visible although you can still click on them if you can guess where they are, and the nasty gears hub is gone still.
Anyway, I don't care about all that but Thiefbot still had no effect and was still not capturing whatever it normally captures.
I wondered if the changes you made to the visual/audio sensitivity could have interfered with what Thiefbot looks for so it can't find it to change it. And maybe those changes are not uninstalled too when Minimalist is uninstalled?
I appreciate you wanted better sensitivity from the AI but is it necessary to have it incorporated in Minimalist when we can use Thiefbot instead?
