Whoops, sorry SE. I didn't see that question.
No worries, it will open an options screen but it won't change things automatically. You have to tell the installer to advance before anything is installed.

The installer assumes that you're installing into a clean installation for the game and would likely have overwritten your copy of gentrainingfeet.dds in the Pctextures/dynamicallyloaded directory.
You should just need to create a texture with a black alpha channel, name it gentrainingfeet.dds and drop it into that directory. That should take care of it. :) Any problems, let me know.
Ok, I'm having problems. Mainly that I've never created a texture before in my entire life. I think your solution is different from how I did it the first time, I think I did it by doing something or other to one of the files (T3gamesys?) with a hex editor

Any place I can just send the texture to you?

If I remember this properly.
In the actor class browser, you need to go into the info section and poke around the Difficulty info. Ghosting is in the same slot as Expert in the editor. You might need to change the expert difficulty settings in a few places to achieve this.
Oh, and you will also need to enable the packages view. You'll find that in the "view" menu. When you're ready to save your custom gamesys just put a checkmark next to the gamesys package.
Make you you copy the t3gamesys.ini from the thief system directory to the thief edit system directory.
Thanks! That setting there really was annoying the crap out of me.

Hi, NH. Despite my earlier problems I now have Minimalist working just fine- and I really appreciate all the effort you've put in; I can now enjoy the game. :)
One thing I noticed: the quotes which appear as a level loads include the following line:
"The artifacts are sometimes called Sentients as they posses a will of their own..."
To quote a Monty Python sketch: "spot the deliferate mistale".
