(
http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/?p=1698) New trailer here.
Looks neat.
Still got some reservations about this one - they really, really need to get the controls for this one right, or the whole concept is just going to fall flat - but I can't deny I'm anticipating this one quite a bit, me.
VRaptor,
WTF?!?! >:-(

Looks interesting and pretty.
Also, main female character without oversized boobs? Whoa!

Holy shit what? This looks crap, the gameplay probably consists of pressing one button at the right time or something.

You can't possibly know that. Besides, what's so wrong about that? In Thief we climb ledges by holding down the jump button when we get near it.

Judging by the trailer it looks like the brightly coloured spots mark the context sensitive interaction spots (i.e. orange walls you can run on, red pipes you can run on/slide under, etc) and everything else (the actual running, jumping, and mantling) is player controlled. And given that they seem to actually have what appears to be a pretty in-depth hand to hand combat system and normal shooting mechanics on top of the parkour system, context actions are probably the only way to go, what with the relative lack of buttons on Xbox360 and PS3 controllers.
And supposedly the parkour moves are also momentum based and require stretches of uninterrupted running to pull off properly, so that brings another level of planning in how you approach any given stretch of rooftops.

Looks great in motion, gameplay/controls remain the key concern.

Yeees, which is still a form of telling the player where to go.

So we can expect the PC version of this to have Securom as well then with the way EA are going?
