Hi just got Theif 3 and i noticed there is no intro video and also that some audio files appear to be missing. Like for instance on the first training mission just before the end when there are two men having a conversation by a fire i can only hear one of them. I know the other person is speaking because the animation is going this has happened on other levels as well and dont tell me to reinstall. Thanks in advance

as for the intro video . . . it's there, but you have to let the game sit at the main menu for a few minutes before it'll start playing the intro video . . . there's a fix for one of the game .ini files that you can safely disable the advertisement videos at load up, and change it to just the intro video if you want (or none at all, too).
As for the audio . . . I'm sure then you've prob tried to re-install already, make sure your audio drivers are up to date, too; possibly, also, you might need to chage the audio hardware acceleration level (if your card suports this);
what sound card are you running?

Thanks for the reply.
Im not sure what sound card im using but im pretty sure its nothing to do with it as this computer is quite top of the range if you tell me how i will find the info on the sound card for you. I was thinking its something to do with missing sound files?

maybe possible, but I seriously doubt it; at least . . . if you've already tried a clean re-installing of the game (completely uninstall the program, files & folders, etc; then install) - it's very unusual for the same issue to be present more than once.
To determine your soundcard (I'm assuming you're running WIN XP):
Click on START>Settings>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices, when that window opens click on the 'audio' tab, and in the top-most box labeled "Sound Playback" in the 'default device' box it will list the name of the audio device being used by WIN. You can also click on the 'advanced' button and make sure that the "Speaker Setup" is configured to match your system, and you can also change directX acceleration under the 'performance' tab also.

If you went to Eidos to purchase and download your copy of the game, they would have redirected you to a company called Trymedia to facilitate the exchange. Trymedia would have sent you an email with a link to download the game. In that email is a second link that contains all the music and movies for the game. You must download and install both to have the full game... I hope this helps.
