I'm thinking I could add a Halloween section into the new MbyT thread as people regularly ask which are suitable missions to play every year when Halloween approaches, I kknow there are a number of such FM's suitable for that category over and above the 6 Halloween contest missions, so can anyone suggest any more.
Halloween Contest missions
Better Tomorrow, A
Evil Thievery
Island of Sorrow
Invasion
Tell Tale Heart
Unknown Danger

Why? Halloween missions are usually just spooky missions and there is a lot of them. All of them are located in already lengthy Undead category. Plus there is Contest category where everyone can check Halloween Contest entries. So why do we need new category?

It wouldn't be a new category, I'm think of adding Halloween and the Water missions to the Seasonal/Weather section, why because every year at Halloween people ask for recommendations, so I'm asking for missions over and above those in the contest section that were both released around the time of Halloween and promoted by the author as Halloween missions. If yo guys can't think of any then the idea won't be implemented, it's just an idea to see if there is any demand/need.

I would recommend keeping the spider category because arachnophobia is a common issue in the community. I would also like to request that something similar be done for undead, if possible, as there are some who aren't fond of them or have anxiety with them around. I think, too, a "Horror" category is better than a Halloween category, as it implies something more you can enjoy year-round than in a certain season. I think the Seasonal category could handle Halloween missions and others that are meant to take place at/invoke a certain time of year.
Is it also possible we can get a "Country", "Wilderness" or "Rural" category for missions set in such areas, like Turning of the Leaves?

Having A Ball by madwolf was a Halloween themed mission released in late October 2004. There are others released on or around Halloween that aren't Halloween themed but were intended as fitting for it, like Rose Cottage.

I fixed the spider issue, I'll be releasing a pdf with a list of every mission and which categories they are in and included in that pdf will be a column letting players see what spiders are in that mission (

But can't add zombies, skeletons and other undead to that pdf, not enough room and just too much work.
We are having a Forest/Outdoor section, Turning of the Leaves is in that section.

I don't understand the rationale behind merging Ruins with Miscellaneous Buildings. A ruins mission could indeed be a "miscellaneous building" or two, but it could also be much larger, e.g. Sealed Quarter missions and the like--I can think of several that would fit more comfortably in a section called City/Ruins. Moreover, I just don't think the two belong together. Missions that take place in ruins are just fundamentally different from other missions: they are more likely to have non-human enemy types and unique hazards one wouldn't find in most other settings, and particularly in inhabited structures. I happen to like missions set in ruins specifically, and I've used that listing to find worthy candidates. It would just be awkward and frustrating to have to sort through relatively mundane missions that happen to feature "miscellaneous buildings" in order to find them.

The primary purpose of the revamp was to fix all the broken links and to reduce the size of the thread, merging as many sections as possible was a significant step in that direction and I'm afraid it's too late to change now, but we will not be deleting the old Mission by Type thread, that one just won't be stickied anymore and we will have a link in the new thread so you will be able to access the old Ruins section with just one clink of a link (assuming that link works of course)

I'm glad the spider section issue was fixed. Not doing the undead PDF because of labor insensitivity makes sense. I missed the Outdoors category on my first read-through, so I'm glad that's already been covered! :)
