Every January, when I post the FM stats, I always manage to screw this up. So, I'd like for the Dromed community to sanitize next year's list. We're only a month away, so it's a good time to shake out any issues.

The dates I posted are those of the last update to a mission.
Nonetheless all of them were created this year and not 2013 or before.
Oh, and a correction:
'The Serpentine Amulet' was created by SneakyGuy101
Soul Tear on 30/11/2014 at 19:01
And else this list can be supplemented by my new FM. It will released in end of December 2014.
Renault on 30/11/2014 at 22:32
There was a release by HawkFlyAway called The Wall, aka St. Edgar's Cathedral.
Also, you have some New Dark re-releases there, there were a few others -
What Lies Below - Yandros
Just about every mission released by cardia1

How did you not know the author for it? It wasn't even anonymous in the 10 rooms contest :laff:

We discussed ND updates in another thread, and whether or not they should be counted. The vote was against it. That said, ND re-releases of missions such as
Autumn in Lampfire Hills, will be included if the fixes were sufficient to justify inclusion.
Renault on 1/12/2014 at 01:07
I only mentioned it because you already have 3 ND re-releases in your list. How do you determine if the "fixes were sufficient?" I'm not sure what that means.
So besides cardia1's misisons, which I think number over 20, you have these from 2014:
Circle of Strain
What Lies Below
Autumn in Lampfire Hills
The Unknown Treasure
Personally, I'd leave all of the ND stuff out. I don't believe any of the missions have changed drastically from their original versions.
Yandros on 1/12/2014 at 04:04
WLB certainly didn't change enough to qualify to be listed here. I can't speak for the others.
Ricebug on 1/12/2014 at 04:14
Some judicious thinking is needed here. I'll use
Autumn in Lampfire Hills as an example: Notes from Anti_Matter16:
Quote:
Fixed texture alignments, minor terrain brush fixes, sound propagation fixes (such as sounds passing through walls) by fixing and adding room brushes, and fixing incorrect physics dimensions of objects and their materials. In addition to these conservative changes, I added EAX Environmental Audio support, I fixed the map not displaying, I re-rendered the lighting in 32-bit, added colored lighting settings from Thief2 as well as many other little fixes here and there.
In the new 2.1a release, I've continued to make many improvements, including importing brushwork from the FM "A Meeting with Basso" from Purah's Calendra's Legacy, improved candle flames, improved sleeping AI responses, improved colored lighting, and the general polish. I've even integrated the french translation (though it is completely untested) and created a briefing video.
This took a lot of time to do. He didn't just re-render the thing under ND and then pass it off as "new." (And please, don't take that the wrong way; I'm not accusing anyone of doing that.)
What I will do is PM each of the authors on these ND remakes and ask their opinion. Yandros has already stated he didn't feel his FM involved much re-work. And I think we're all mature enough to offer honest judgments on our own work.

When it comes to FMs, there are new releases and updates. New releases deserve their own threads, while updates by the original author should be posted in the original release thread. Generally, I don't think updates should be considered new releases. They're intended to supersede the last version, otherwise they'd be a derivative work and therefore a new release. I made a number of improvements, additions, and changes to my own mission campaign, Mine Saga, when I re-released it for Newdark, but it was basically the same experience.
The transition from Olddark to Newdark is a poor way of determining if an FM has been reworked enough to warrant counting as a new release. Improved lighting is nice, but it takes no effort, only waiting about 10 minutes. The work I did on Autumn in Lampfire Hills and the Circle of Strain Campaign was extensive and took a very long time. I consider them notable enough to count them as new releases, especially given that I am not the original author. Does my 2nd update to Autumn in Lampfire Hills count as a new release? (I've released 2.0 and 2.1) Probably not, even if it was more extensive than my first update, and it certainly didn't deserve a new thread with the old one still around.
