Wicht missions made your head burst the fiorst time but then became cool or at least bearable after the first walktrought ?
Here are some of mine...
1) Thieves Guild.
Yes, finding your way thought that maze can be a pain for the first time. And it can be even worse when you manage to get all your way to the wrong side of the mission only to learn that you have to go all the way back to the other side and come back again.
Knowing the map and where to go first make this mission more bearable.
2) Lost City.
Another mission where it´s easy to get lost. You will also become mad from a little gap that makes you explore all the way back to find a way to pass throught it... When you finally decorate the mission it becomes cooler.
3) Courrier.
For the first minutes it´s a question of trial and error until you finally understand how to make it work without getting mission failure. When you finally get how to play this the mission looks more cooler.

Aaaarrrggghhh
The first and only Mission I ever hated was Bafford's Mansion the very first time I played it. I thought the game was a medieval shooter my brother was trying to push onto me. The second time I played that Mission, I was hooked forever.

Casing/Masks, which are now my favorite and most anticipated missions in all of T2.
In contrast, Life of the Party has had the opposite effect. That whole mission is a generic snore-fest to me now.

The Sword. I kept getting so damn lost. I still get lost in there pretty easy, even after playing the level at least 20 times. But I now think it's one of the most creative and well-designed levels in Thief.

Aye. Return to the Cathedral.
I hated Murus. I hated all the undead in that level more than the Bonehoard because I had less room to move and I had to get Murus' items and kill the Haunts. Murus is just annoying, now, but the level isn't.

Y'know, I really remembered DESPISING the level where you first go to the Cathedral and see the eye. The missions name escapes me, but I always found that to be frustrating when I first played thief.
Just belted through it more or less in one sitting. Wasn't anywhere near as bad as I remembered. I think i was stuck for an overly frustrating amount of time working out what the eye wanted me to do the first time but it was a cinche this time.
And now i've just remembered why I hate The Lost City.

Yes the ghost doesn't seem to give a hoot that you've got a horde of undead trying to bum you.
