In the cam_mod.ini, is the following still valid?
mod_path .\MODS\t2water+.\MODS\t2skies+.\MODS\EP2\EPBooks+.\MODS\EP+.\MODS\NTEX+.\patchedmis
I changed EP to EP2. But what if the player doesn't have EP or EP2 installed? Would it be better just to put the textures into the fam folder?

The mod path is installation specific. It is something that everyone must set up for themselves according the way they set up their folders. You don't package yours and distribute it.
Now about EP and EP2, if you want the players to use the EP textures and not stock OM textures, you have two choices: 1) so state in your release notes with instructions on how to install them or 2) duplicate them in your FAM folder and have your zip get huge.
I suggest the mention in the release notes. It really is up to the players whether or not they want a new or old look to the mission they play.

Thanks, bro. I'll shove them into the fam folder.

Hmmm... I wonder if you could have that setup in the FM.cfg file... Just a thought.

FM.cfg is only used when FMSel loads the mission, but I think most people use Darkloader. Besides it seems futile to add a path to a mod the player might not have. And if they do have it they should have already set up their own mod path.

OK, I was just wondering whether or not if it would work. :p
Since you've brought up Darkloader, I've noticed that in the mod notes they were suggesting to for now on try to make FMs more FMSel friendly. That's going to be one thing about TROTB 2. I've steered away from Darkloader and stuck with FMSel. The reason is for that FM.cfg file. This way, I won't be having people making changes to their cam_mod.ini file in order to play it correctly (ex: new mantle coding and correcting the sunlight issues).

I tried to do that with my last FM by only providing my beta testers with a 7z file, but some just asked for it in zip format. If FMSel looked nicer (e.g. similar to Darkloader) I'd have insisted, but instead I relented. :cheeky:
