Tested, and yes that looked really terrible. The green water is now a lot darker, the blue water is now a bit less saturated and also a bit darker.
Link to v1.2 in first post..

no, it works like it should for me, no missing textures, but the water was very bright and ugly.
If you're using some kind of mod manager / FM selector (i dont use them) problems like that can occur if the mod also comes with its own water textures, which this mod seems to do.
Yandros on 7/10/2012 at 01:49
That's probably because this mod uses the same filenames as the original water textures, but has more frames. So installing a FM with replacement water textures (but fewer frames than this mod) is replacing the first X frames of this mod's files with the FM's files, but the additional frames from this mod are still there. So you get some frames from both sets and it alternates between the two. You should see the same thing with a FM like Broken Triad which also contains some replacement water textures, but not as many as are in this mod. In fact many FMs release in the last few years include custom replacement water textures, many of them using Eshaktaar's. The only solution is to recopy these water files into waterhw after installing any such mission.

Well that fixes my problem with frames overlapping of the water animation...
But now it doesn't load. And I'm certain I put it all in correctly; proper folder hierarchy and the settings in cam_mod.ini.
So how am I screwing this up, now?

Don't you see the new water at all now?
I only tested it on
bathory_campaign_v12a.
Which mission do you have problem with?
Oh, right. I forgot to define what was not working... It doesn't work at all. :p
Making the little comment of frame-overlap horribly redundant.

IMO in 1.02 at least green water (tested in Framed) is too DARK, IMO. 1.01 was better in that regard (brighter), but still ~too~ dark/too less transparent when compared with vanilla (original) green water which has the right transparency IMO (not to much, not too less). Haven't tested blue water yet, which OM do you recommend for testing blue water?

i usually test the blue water with Framed. Havent gotten to the part with green water in framed, but in the begining of that mission where you start in a cave it looks right, the game does take place during the night, and in this case even inside, there's no such thing as bright water during the night or inside a cave unless there's tons of light there reflecting on the water surface (or if the water is radioactive maybe;) ). I dont use the vanilla water as a reference except slightly for color, it just doesnt look natural enough for that.
I've done a new blue water though, i'll do a new green water as well. The new one has a lot less artifacts and looks better overall imo.

ok, looking forward to testing new version of your mod :) - just hoping it'd NOT too dark and too opaque (both green and blue colored water) - I'd like to have similar/same transparency/ability to see what it is underneath the water surface from above the water level as in vanilla version.
ps what is the difference between your mod and (

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the difference is that
that mod is not this mod.Yeesh.
