Still, 500 gold isn't gonna cut it methinks.
Yeah, I'm still juggling that in my head - in Shipping... and Receiving, Garrett needs 850 to cover rent and expenses. Unless he's paying a few months to a year in advance, HOW can Our Lady of the Veil make ends meet for the rest of her life on 500? I mean, we see common folk carrying purses worth 25 - 50; are we to assume that they're carrying their life savings?

Interesting side note: in Receiving, Garrett needs to make rent - in the briefing he goes on about how this is 'amateur night', and that if things get much worse he'll have to go back to picking pockets on the street.
The goal for the night's take? Well, to pay off the landlord for the month and cover incidentals - 850.
And the funny thing is, that 850 gold isn't actually deduced from the loot - you get to spend everything you get from that mission on equipment afterwards, so it looks like Garrett didn't even pay the landlord after all. :p Probably a good thing, too, considering he had to move elsewhere soon afterwards...

Now that's a damned good point, too... and all of a sudden, folks just start showing up at his door (Framed opens with someone arriving at his apartment, and they got the information from 'an old acquaintance'.)
Next thing you know, he's not only sold out by one of his fences (Sammy), but his place is freakin' surrounded. I wonder if his landlord went to the Watch and turned him in (not that he's likely to know about Garrett's activities - he could have reporte a delinquent payment)... after all,
Mosley is the one behind Hagen's frame-up, and she's working hand in hand with V.'s people...
Click - click - click: the tumblers fall into place.
Now, mind you, we can figure that at a while has gone by between SAR and FRA, because the moon goes from gibbous (either waxing or waning, not sure - to my eyes, it's waning) to full.
Ah, but then again, this is all just idle fancy.
