"Booyah! Look out LeChuck, here comes Guybrush Threepwood's glowing sword of popmonkey vengeance"?
I can't say I was the biggest fan of the first 4 games*, but I'm pretty sure they had better writing than what this trailer promises. Then again I might've just had lower standards back then.
edit: yeah, no. After watching the trailer for the remake it's obvious the writing was better back in the day.
*remember playing them, don't remember actually finishing any of them

The first three are classics (for me anyway). I just want to forget about the fourth. I hope telltale can bring back the magic though I'm not holding my breath.

haha it actually did, on PS2. Although I suppose it helped that I had never played any of the previous games first. Whatever, the voice acting, writing, music, graphics, and puzzles were all great.

Oh Lord, Telltale. There's a guarantee of lame, unfunny humour.

It's like they looked at the last ugly 3D entry in the series and asked themselves, "How can we make this even uglier?"
The remake looks snazzy, though. In-game hints are a bit naff, but it looks like they're making all the right choices otherwise. I was a little shocked when they showed the ability to switch to the old graphics--that's a concession I didn't expect to see in this age of "It's old, therefore shit."

Raping the simian corpse of one of the most charming adventure games ever. :eww:
