No worries, all missions that I've tried made for 1.18 with NewDark works, so It must work. (as Single Player Mission, of course...^^)
Otherwise, the invert don't work...
So with the MP game you can play missions made for 1.18 only... And use 1.18 dromed too if you want to create MP mission...:erg:

Yeah you are right, I tried single player and it DOES work in newdark 1.21 after all.
NOW...a question....
I have the gear, but DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT! There is no way to use it on the brick door. And I do not see anyplace to place it. WHERE is the unlock mechanisim you place the gear key in? I am where the soliders are that has a balcony and has a generator on the bottom. It has Area 411 above a large door. Just get over to the other side, in the guard area ..... get to the other side and look for a unlit torch.
