Yep. That's it in essence. But the devil's in the details, eh? :D And this is a far more interesting take on it.
Okay, fine. I'm doing it for the tits. Mostly.

I can't wait to see Yahtzee explode into a seething ball of QTE-hating apoplexy when he reviews this.

man, this is going to be a game I'll only be able to play when I'm certain no one's at home
You're suggesting that a naked women on the screen while you're vigorously shaking the controller could be taken the wrong way?
(Yahtzee's response might not be that bad, if the game story is well done. He makes adventure games after all. This is a point and click sort of adventure, but with more prod and shake. It's an upgrade in interactivity, as opposed to the usual QTE M.O. which is to take a very interactive game and reduce it to a button push for no discernable reason. Odd, but it might fly.)

I just played the demo and am really interested in this now. It oozed atmosphere and polish. Even walking up a muddy hill or squeezing your fat belly round a dumpster was interesting. I was getting my fingers in knots but it was still good fun.
The fight scene was also much more fun than I anticipated. It might eventually wear a bit thin but I will hopefully be hooked on the story and invested in the characters before then.

^^^ provided the devs don't learn from their mistakes and entirely shit on the last 1/3 of Heavy Rain's story like they did with their last game. :tsktsk:

But was it a blast until then, had to finish it anyway, I usually move on to a different game.

Oh, I agree. I just hope this game doesn't fall to pieces in the end like Fahrenheit. The first 2/3's is aces. I bought it on PC (the Fahrenheit version imported from UK) and the Indigo prophecy version on Xbox. Actually, I preferred the console version. It liooked pretty close to the PC, and controlled 100* better. The censored content was rather tame, so no big loss.

Um, not really. Unless you consider the thrusting-into-your-ex-girlfriend QTE a toned-down version of doing it doggy style or the wheelbarrow. :p

I usually hate QTEs but the fight at the start is great!

I just finished Indigo Prophecy ($2 on Steam, yay) and I had always heard that the ending was kind of stupid but I never quite believed it would get as ridiculous as it did. Everything you cared about at the beginning of the game, all that mystery, yeah, it doesn't matter because it's all mystical bullshit we don't even care about justifying.
Why did they do it? Were they afraid that a game without action and fantasy wouldn't sell? It can't be that because I don't think they even advertised those aspects of the game, did they? Whatever the reason I hope Heavy Rain doesn't have a similar outcome.
Oh yeah, and there are some mayans too. fuck
