If they justified the decision by saying to themselves that it was lacking action, then they are the stupidest people on earth. If someone was that concerned about action-oriented content, they wouldn't have played that far in the first place! Nor would they have even bought the damn game.
My personal guess? They rushed or got frustrated and just said to themselves "Fuck it, let's just get it over with". Only other guess? They really are just that bad at authoring cohesive storylines. The rushed arguement is sort of off, it came out in mid-September so they had plenty of breathing room before the holidays. Maybe there was a big title coming out soon after, though. I dunno. I am not that well versed in 2005 release dates. :p

He did an interview where he was asked about takeaways from Fahrenheit, and he said that it basically amounted to him being spread a little too thin at the time. (

I think it's safe to say the lesson's been learned. Buzz around the internet hints that Heavy Rain's multiple endings are quite something this time around.

So this

seems correct, just in the past tense. Lesson learned indeed...they farmed the story out this time because they don't have the chops.
I am rooting for Heavy Rain. I am. But
Quote:
The scene with Tyler Miles in Fahrenheit where you wake up, take a shower, drink coffee and chat to your wife was one of the greatest inspirations for Heavy Rain
REALLY bothers me. THAT is your inspiration? God, they are weird.

I liked that bit. Those kinds of scene help to get to know the characters so that when more meaty scenes come along they're more effective. That's kind of what I want from Heavy Rain.

Anyone else thinks this "game" will be utter shit? Really, I hope HR bombs so hard that David Cage wakes up and starts making real games again. Still wanna see an Omikron sequel (without gay QTE).

If this game bombs hard there probably wont be any omikron sequel, so you better ungay and unshit that sentence and buy heavy rain.

Not if your aim is a to tell a story about normal people. Normal people have lives, I am sure I can relate better to them after doing the small stuff.

The controls for Indigo on the PC were shit, and I almost gave up on it many times, (my God those stealth sections were pain inducing!), but I was so intrigued by the story I had to keep playing.
It really is to bad the end ruined the illusion of such a great story the game had going for it in the first 2/3's or so.
But I give Cage credit. At least he tries to create games that aren't the usual cookie cutter crappola. And as uneven as Omikron was, still a lot of fun.

Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy had the misfortune of being planned as a series of episodes, then being cut down to one game and rushed. Much of the 3rd act plot nonsensicalities probably come from that.
