I think you need to stop posting in every bloody thread just because you've worked out where the "post reply" button is

I think congress needs to step in and set caps on the rates that actors can charge for doing voice work.
Actually, in the case of Martin Sheen, he has that, I believe - SAG has a set pay-rate on voice acting for games.
Also, anyone seen the new Mass Effect 2 box art? It's ass. As you guys know I tend to pick on Bioware a lot but they've traditionally had some pretty good box-art. But apparently EA decided that hand-painted just wasn't acceptable anymore so instead we'd have prominent guns and cleavage. Hooray.
Mind you, this isn't an unfair representation of Mass Effect 2.

(
http://www.incgamers.com/News/19813/mass-effect-2-pc-specs-basic-drm-revealed) Mass Effect 2 DRM details revealed (and system requirements).
Quote:
BioWare also made mention of the DRM we're going to see in Mass Effect 2, stating that it's "a basic disk check" that "will not require online authentication," and that it's "the same method as Dragon Age: Origins."
Win.
Also the (

Apparently they've been working to address the complaints of the first game.

. But what we are doing is amping the intensity shooter combat up, and improving a range of technical improvements across the board - locked and loaded frame rate at 30 frames a second, and really smooth texture loading, and fast loading times, things like that - and also integration of some of the uncharted worlds more closely in with the main story arc.
...
The uncharted worlds, the fidelity's been amped up and so has the integration of those uncharted worlds with the main story arc, so they're gonna have more of an impact on how the story progresses - even changing the end of the game depending on what optional content you do.

Still no word on whether the side quest planets will have more variety than just the same four structures copied and pasted.
I can't remember where I read it, but apparently elevators are gone for good.

I already miss the days of one-time activations and not having my dvd-rom drive used as a $50 dongle.

With the retail versions of Dragon Age and Batman: Arkham Asylum, I just use mini-images mounted in Daemon Tools. Available from gamecopyworld.
As if the majority of the no disc cracked EXEs and mini-images Gamecopyworld and Megagames are teeming with malware.
You could always just buy your games via digital distribution exclusively (Steam, Impulse, Gamersgate, etc.), if it bothers you that much. You're guaranteed of no CD checks that way.

I just noticed the EADM lets you register the serials for your retail copies of games now. I'm going to install the downloadable version of Dragon Age and see what sort of DRM it uses, if any.

what, so ANY ea game I ever owned can now be redownloaded via EADL as long as I have the original key ? that's pretty kewl

I dunno. It worked for Mirror's Edge and DA:O, when I put the serial in for NFS:Shift it said the serial was already in use or something.
