Hopefully it's at least as good as Overlord.
I enjoyed Lair of the Shadow Broker far more than Overlord. Although Overlord was way better than the first DLC which was little more than spazzing about in a shit hovercar.
Lair of the Shadow Broker spoiler:
I'm hoping that despite Liara becoming the Shadow Broker, that she also features prominently in the new DLC. After LotSB I feel kind of guility for whoring around with everyone's favourite genetically modified posh totty, Miranda. It was just a fling, Liara, honest.
With all the mystery surrounding the shadow broker and the buildup, started early in the first ME, the actual search and confrontation with this character is mediocre at best. I was disappointed by the overall execution, which is just another maze of spaceship-like corridors and a series of shootouts. This character just deserves more, with all the stories and legends we've heard earlier. The gameplay is more like catching a common thief, not the master of deception or something.
At least Overlord had this nice horror ambiance and typical but nice twist at the end. Although I agree that those Hammerhead platformer sections were silly.

The end of Overlord made me sad. And believe you me when I hit that Paragon interrupt it was so fucking satisfying.

Thing is, I'm not really sure the Shadow Broker could have been given the attention deserved without interfering with the rest of the story arc. DLC just doesn't give enough playtime for that, and it would be tough to include a long arc about him into the Mass Effect 3 storyline without distracting from the showdown.
Only viable option would have been to release an expansion pack, like was done with Awakenings.

Arrival should be available today, I hope it's sooner than later because I have a day off ;)

Anybody know how much it'll cost?
Judith on 29/3/2011 at 19:10
It cost me 560 MS Points and about 2 hours to finish. While it's not anything spectacular in gameplay part, it sets a right mood story-wise. Looks like Shepard is in for some serious trouble before ME3 starts.

So, 7 bucks. Not a bad price. I'll grab it after my Call of Duty marathon's done.
It was ok, and sets up ME3 quite nicely, but what the hell was that collector doing at the end? If they knew Shepard was on the asteroid they must have known about the Project way in advance and you'd have thought they would have done something other than indoctrination of the scientist in order to put a stop to it. It's also made me realise I'm very tired of the combat. There's a fantastic universe out there, I'd have loved to have seen some new interconnecting non-combat focussed missions involving Omega, the Citadel or the Shadow Broker also made available.
On a related note, I've just started playing Dragon Age (the original) and the ME2 DLC has only served to reinforce how much more immersive I find a game when the protaganist is actually voiced.
