Also minus a properly functional user interface. And this is the PC version.

For reals yo. Having to omni-gel 150 items sucks, especially when every container drops no less than 3 sniper rifles.

Does ME get any better the further you go along? I've done the first part and went first to a planet called Feros? Think that's what it's called. I've done a bunch of stuff there, and on my way back to save some colonists. Anyway, I was told to use this special grenade on them to put them to sleep or something, and when I enter this tunnel, there's a couple of dozen of them and I keep dying trying to save the fuckers. Screw being mr nice guy. I'm gong to toast them all when I get back in the game.
You know there's a difference between Thorian creepers and Thorian infected colonists. The creepers are colonists who were infected, but are beyond any help, basically zombies. You can save the colonists who were just recently infected. The gas grenades work on infected colonists and put them to sleep, but they don't work on creepers.
I found it more efficient to knock down colonists first (attack them face to face with a blow to their chin) and then take care of the creepers later. There are other strategies but it's not overly difficult.

I started another run through of the first game a couple of days ago, but almost immediately got very bored.
I realised I knew what was coming and that in between the "good" bits was a whole lot of cookie cutter, Fed-Ex style dross.
Let alone which, the entire Mass Effect universe manages to feel even more sterile than the Star Trek one.
So I popped Viking in instead. Again, I've completed it previously, so I know what it's all about, and that yes, it can get very repetitive, but it's got a brutal honesty to it that I like. And it is incredibly violent :)
Oh, and it's narrated by Brian Blessed.
That's an instant win right there.

The most affecting scene in ME was the Spectre Induction. I almost had tears in my eyes. For the Humanity! For the Citadel Space!

Sounds awesome. Maybe by the time I have a PC capable of running the first one, the activation limits will be removed from both. :erg:

That looks quite awesome and I like the darker style of this one. Combat looks pretty sharp and bring on more aliens:D
I just hope they take the time to fix the bugs that killed ME1.

You know, I had a lot of fun playing Mass Effect, but I really hope they improve the "inventory" system in the sequel. If they made the inventory like a real RPG's I would be very happy!

Thanks for the link to the Prelude trailer. That was really cool. They even mentioned 'Wild West' inspired locales, which when mated with their new, darker tone in the sequel should be epic.
