After the whole LIMBO OF THE LOST fiasco I thought people would be clever before stealing any artwork that would certainly be recognised by any gaming geek.
Well, it seems there are still some dummies in this world...

So apparently White Wolf (the tabletop RPG publisher that licensed the Vampire: The Masquerade videogames like Redemption and Bloodlines and that intends to make an MMORPG with the guys that made EVE ONLINE) released a book about hunters and one of their artists SERIOUSLY thought HE COULD GET AWAY WITH THIS.
It´s like... "Oh, it will be seen by thousand of RPG geeks, not anime or game geeks, so it´s gonna be off the radar..."
Anyway, it seems Capcom and WW already made a deal and WW is safe because the burden will fall on the artist.

hahahahaha what the hell
it's like he just copy and pasted in photoshop and changed some shit around to make it look handdrawn
but shotgun and rocks aside it's so obviously not handdrawn
gg nextmap White Wolf
And I was just telling a friend about Bloodlines, too. What're the odds?

The gun's not even in perspective. It looks like he googled up a photo and ran it through 'find edges' and slapped it on in there.

Those are games based off of licensed White Wolf properties, WW didn't produce those themselves.

Some artists are saying it is handdrawn. But that the technique used was 'backlighting' witch means you put the artwork over a source of light then put a transparent paper over the artwork and start drawing over the original artwork.

Sounds like a fancy word for tracing.

The craziest thing is that the plagarised image isn't from some obscure part of the game or the 15th page of the manual, it's from the friggin' cover art. Duh.

White Wolf's version looks much better.

That'd be true if the gun didn't look so obviously photoshopped in.

Agreed. Where the hell is his left hand?
