I'm trying to find more games that fit into this category. No guns and not advanced tech, etc.
Just swords, axes, bows, whatever. RPGs or not, doesn't matter.
Doesn't matter if it's medieval or not, either, but well, probably most games with swords will be set in a medieval age :p
What matters to me is having swords and being a first person game.
I know Thief series, TES series and Arx Fatalis (and the oldies Whichaven 1 and 2).
What other FPS games are there with the same stuff?

Dark Messiah
The Dark Mod (for Doom 3)
Age of Chivalry (Source mod)

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic should fit that requirement.
Available on steam, it's got niggling issues, sure, but I had great fun playing through it!

No mention of Mount & Blade yet? That was the very first thing that came to my mind when I read the thread title, and I haven't even played the game yet. By all accounts, it's pretty good too.

Drakan: Order of the Flame
Since when was this played from a first person perspective?
EDIT: or Rune for that matter.

Can't remember if it was 1st person, but "die by the sword" had sword-fighting.

While you can play M&B from first person, it's really designed around the default third person viewpoint.

Yeah Dark Messiah's a great game. I loved how realistic the movement feels. And they even have rope arrows.

It was third person, but it was the best swashbuckling game I ever encountered. There was just something
right about chopping off opponents' limbs, sweeping them across the area with a heavy swordstrike, and being constantly on the move to avoid blows yourself. Very high energy; the protagonist's lines and character also added to it. The game also had a pretty similar art direction to Thief 1, with dark and dirty textures and a lot of shadows. It was just too much fun. I wonder if it could be made to work on my current PC...
