Regardless, this happens to be dialogue that's far more interesting and better-written than anything in every single Elder Scrolls game put together. You're probably going to be paying more attention to what's being said than whether people are walking around when they're saying it.

Goddammit, stop being so damn fickle. Don't let some pedantic minor annoyance stop you from experiencing one of the best RPGs since Deus Ex.

The conversations in Bloodlines have some of the best writing and voice acting I've ever met in a game.
Then again, I wouldn't take anyone who can't spell "because" too seriously.

Have you read my post in whole?

He's a big immature drama queen, I'd avoid that patch on principle alone. Also there's the nude skins that are reportedly bundled.
Yes, the website is full of nude patches for various games, I feel slightly concerned for the psyche of the owner, but the VtMB patch isn't bundled with any nude patches.
As for the conversation, yes I suppose you get the same point of view as one does in Oblivion, but that's as far as the similarity goes. VtMB has some of the best dialogue ever seen in computer gaming - it's a big part of what makes it one of the best games ever made.

I saw a video of it and the dialogues are just like in Oblivion... you know, the character is 4 feet away from you and he pops up at "kissing distance" (yuuuk...) while he speaks and then pops out 4 feet away again...
I sincerelly hate that. 1st cuz they just stand still while they talk, moving nothing more than their arms and their head to emphasize it, and 2nd cuz you can never have a 3 (or more) person dialogue... It's so un-natural... so mechanic (the most unimersive dialogue method I've seen). (Another reason why oblivion seemed nonsense to me)
This doesn't make me avoid trying it, but it gets me disapointed from the start... I may try it...
God dammit stop tempting me to get myself rebanned 30 minutes after the last one expired. Just play the game before you judge, you boatcrowding nancy. You don't even
know.

I thought it was quiet around here.

Seriously Skrauts, give Vampire a chance. That's one very small part of the interaction system (and technically there is a three-person conversation in the game, so it's not too much of a limitation), but the excellently-written dialogue, plot and game will more than make up for it.

Not to mention it's basically Deus Ex with vampires. If you don't like that, you're a bigger idiot than your postcount suggests.

vampires is one of the best games I ever played. Dialogue/Atmosphere/Sound is on par with Mafia. The missions and sidequests are good, you get really inventive vampirepowers and get to talk to the most interesting, sexy and intelligently written NPCs. Your rise to the top is full of surprises and even heart-wrenching moments, it got no exploitive or fart humor. And last but not least, it got character and soul like DeusEx. Somebody somewhere loved that game while he made it and you can feel it. I played it very often, used the fanpatch many times and both versions are excellent. It's also endlessly quotable.
