:cheeky: Huh, well yah, it is for you.
Jechma- If you don't have Winzip, you can download a unregistered version at (
www.winzip.com;)) Or, if you don't want it, I can get you a dos unzipping utility.

The thief series is geniously crafted in every aspect. From the excellent gameplay to the downright Incredible soundscheme. No games has got me moved like the faint hammerite chanting in Cragscleft, The melancolic, yet dreaming sound of the quintus horn and the trail of blood tune. I started the trail of blood the first time on expert, but after knowing what the mechs had done there and moved by the music, i quit and started the level again with a easy difficult setting just to be allowed to kill the mech bastards.... :ebil:

No-one has mentioned Haunts. Sure there are not music but damn the things give me more of a chill.
I'm thinking of adding the voice to my desktop.

lol those haunts and zombies.......there's nothing creepier than walking around hearing them moaning and groaning with the eerie music in the background.
Thief would be a lot less scarier without the sounds. Love the medieval/mystical feel to the game.
The graphics may not have been brilliant but the music more than made up for it.

Can someone tell me what the name of the .wav for the opening Looking Glass chimes is, and also the name of the .wav for the Horn of Quintus?
sNeaksieGarrett on 28/4/2004 at 00:28
I dunno about any chimes, but I am about 90% sure that the Horn Of Quintus music is:
hornofq.wav ---- DUH! Look under "H" and you should find it silly!
I bet the chimes are just as obvious. Just a suggestion if you haven't already.....
You should sort everything by alphabetacal order(I have no idea how that's spelled)
in Winzip when you view the .crf files......
BTW: Why did you put your name as:
TheDorkProject?
TheDorkProject on 28/4/2004 at 02:30
I had already looked for anything starting with horn, but perhaps I got mixed up and was looking in Thief 2's file when I didn't mean to... anyway, thanks... I found it now.
The chimes aren't handled as obviously. They may not even be there at all.
The name is just a joke... shouldn't be too hard to understand I wouldn't think.

The chimes play in Intro.avi; there's no separate wav file.
