I'm currently in the Seaside Manor in Thief DS and I have to say, I'm a sucker for dramatic lonely heart music. The kind of ambient piano playing that harkens to listless staring out a window, into the rain soaked night.

For irony, I like:

Way too seriously...

I love the German end credits music. I loved it the first time I heard it and couldn't stop playing it. But I lost it with a lot of my other sound files a while ago due to unmentionable comnputer problems and I can't find a copy of it anywhere. Could someone help me out. Please? :(

I've always loved hearing the Horn of Quintus.
As for FM music, there was a particular piece in Resurgence that was wonderful, can't remember the name of it though. I used to listen to it while working in DromEd, until it disappeared. :(

I like the basement music in Ramirez's mansion in the mission "Assassins." It has a sort of electronic lead, but it fits in alright. It's actually just a short loop playing over and over.

@Proud Taffer and metal dawn and everyone else who's interested...
Due to the constant demand (twice within half a year!) for the music of the credits of the german thief-version, I have uploaded it again. You can get it here:

The music was composed by a german group from Berlin called Subway to Sally who claim to play some kind of 'medieval rock'. I don't know them otherwise but everyone be warned who has not heard this before: it does not sound very medieval all the time.
Enjoy,

And now I have to buy every Subway To Sally album in existance. That just rocks. I wonder if they have any connection to Apocalyptica?

If you really want to buy some CDs of them maybe you want to start with the album 'Herzblut'. As I said already I do not know them but as far as I have seen this very song seems to be on that album. It is called 'Accingite Vos', whose lyrics are from a traditional latin liturgy.
[You want the whole text? No problem:
Tradidit in mortem animam suam
et inter sceleratos reputatus est.
Accingite vos
sacerdotes et plangite
ministri altaris
aspergite vos cinere.
Hearing this chant sporadically throughout the Soulforge-mission gave me a very, well, sacral feeling in the cathedral.]
But I fear this is their only latin song. What I have seen from the rest is all in german.
Bye,
Neuling
