Goodness, if you guys like the music in Trail of Blood, I can only urge you to run to the shops now and buy the following albums by Tangerine Dream
Rubycon
Phaedra
Ricochet
i absolutely love Tangerine Dream.
just a curiosity: Tangerine Dream made an Ost music named "Thief" based on the Micheal Mann's movie.

Why don't you just reinstall the game and grab the music out of the video?
Because I only have the English version, that's about all I can speak.

Sorry to revive this thread again, but I fell in love with the above two soundtracks that someone kindly posted up here for download (ToB and SaR), I was wondering if anyone could tell me, are all the "songs" for TDS and TMA located in the default folders as mp3s? Or do I need a converter for it, I really want to listen to them on my mp3-player on the way to work! :D

The Thief Metal Age songs can be grabbed from the crf file called sound.crf You can open the crf like a zip file, just try opening it in winzip or some other unzipping program. Zipgenius & 7-zip are two good ones. Zipgenius has some issues though, so I use 7-zip now. Its got a simple interface and its easy to use.... Anyway, back on topic.... I recall seeing TDS songs on the "thief-thecircle.com" website. Just go there and look for thief media, it should be on some page with links to remixes and stuff.;)

Thanks, but what about TDP? I think some of the most memorable tracks were all from TDP. I'm not yet a great fan of the TDS tracks, though yes I've seen them at Thief-the-Circle.com, actually I was, more interested in the music from TDP and TMA.
Thanks for the zip advice on TMA though, i'll try it out.
Anyone on the TDP tracks though? Or are they also .crf files that can be opened via unzippers?

Yes they are.

They are located in ...\Thief I\crfs\snd.crf among all spoken lines. But be aware that neither Dark Project nor Metal Age have ready to use mp3 files, the ingame 'soundtrack' is merely a mixture of many different loops.

Yeah..... Oh, and sorry about that he(Vogelfrei) said it was snd.crf, i was saying sound.crf. My bad. And yeah there aren't any mp3s, they are all .wav files. Of course you could find a program that could convert the wavs to mp3s if you wanted. There has to be one of those somewhere.;)

Great topic! I've always LOVED the score to Thief. It is so deeply moving. I just can't imagine Thief without the sonic background textures that make it such an infectious computer game.
Without question, my two faves are
"The Horn of Quintus" from Down in the Bonehoard. This seemingly soothing melody provides an epic backdrop to an already very surreal mission. The underground tombs take on an amazing lifelike presence, and I'm pulled in to this netherworld of dreams.
"m05loop3" from Circle of Strain. I was blown away the first time I heard this theme. As a backdrop to the catacombs, it captures the sinister mood with striking precision. It's so easy to become wrapped with a feeling of absolute spiritual detachment.
I highly recommend playing both of these missions just to experience how artistically well these music scores are integrated with the surrounding environment. Amazing!
