I recently replayed Zealot's Hollow and yet again got completely lost in the labyrinthian map, so made some (
https://drive.google.com/file/d/12iXhdoTrxuUmxPOHIfUi6XN7I_NMxwxO/view?usp=drive_link) Dromed maps for this mission, but it got me thinking as to which other FM's have nightmare maps, so confusing that however many times you play that mission it still has you completely bamboozled.
Of course there are always the Bonehoard type missions such as Up in the Bonehoard, Sepulchre of the Sinistral and The Tomb of St. Tenor, but which maps do you have a love/hate relationship with?

The Whole Ruins of Originia series, especially Mines of Margoth.

The map we made for Impious Pilgrimage isn't supposed to be particularly useful, but we did end up adding directional arrows that get added to give you a basic idea of which compass heading you should be moving towards to get to where you want to go. It's supposed to be wild, unmapped territory, so we wanted to maintain that and still provide some (albeit very little) direction.

That mission by KOMAG (i think) where Garrett has to infiltrate a town of tiny people (Laputians? a reference to Gulliver's travels book).
Followed by
Lord Alan's Basement.
Builder bless me, because Lord Alan's was a labyrinthian madness to get through.

Seconding this one. I spend a long time trying to figure out the ingame map. The mission is huge and confusing.

If you think Lord Alan's basement is bad you need to check out Lord Alan's factory.
Other nightmare maps include the castle in Nosferatu by Sensut, Brainchild and TRS 1000

That's because most of the mission is "inside itself", to fit within the contest boundaries!

By the way, this mission with tiny people almost certainly is "Alchemic Allusions".

Off the top of my head:
The Varyx Obelisk
The Mines of Margroth (still love it, though)
The Great Tree
