Duke nukem got me thinking (and everyone seems to be talking about sequels) about games that really should have a sequel by now but don't.
I would have said Syndicate, but it seems that something might actually be in the works there. (

Perhaps some other old gems have sequels planned that I'm not aware of.
What games cry out for a sequel then? (apart from System Shock)
My top game that deserves a sequel-
Severance:Blade of Darkness. This game featured amazing graphics for the time and had great atmosphere. But what I really liked was the combat, which actually felt lethal. Modern fighting games tend to be OTT arcadey, or else just too easy (I'm thinking Dark Messiah and Oblivion). In Severance you couldn't rely on health potions or stupid stuff like that. Every fight with even a goblin required your full attention or risk death. Even in 3rd person it felt much more like a real sword fight (based on fencing and kendo experience) than any other game I've played. I want more!
Similarly
Weaponlord brought some brains into 2D fighters. Could a sequel do the same today in 3D?

Sacrifice. I am AMAZED that there isn't a sequel, there is no exaggeration possible for describing how awesome this game is, absolute genius. WHY Shiny, why?

Seconding Severance: Blade of Darkness.
It was an awesome game then, it is an awesome game still. The combination of settings, art direction, music and sound effects just created a brutal, epic atmosphere that still goes unmatched in my little head.
And of course, the fantastic damage modeling and tons of ways to explore the said damage modeling.
Also, someone please remake Die by the Sword with improved controls, ffs.

I've been dreaming of a Shogo sequel for several years now.
A follow-up to Vampire TM: Bloodlines would be sweet too.
Others:-
KotOR (non-MMO)
Sin (non-Half-Life 2 clone, non-episodic)
Duke Nukem 3D
Blood 1

Severance: BoD. Thirded. Also, I thought RUNE was deserving of an new installment. I'd also like to see Pariah and Black get sequels. Oh yeah, Stubbs the Zombie. They need to expand upon the original game.

Severance: Blade of Darkness. Fourthed (is that right way to write it?).
Also Call Of Cthulhu: DCotE, Clive Barker's Undying, Drakan: Order Of the Flame (yeah I know it has a sequel but it's for PS2 only), VtM: Bloodlines, etc.
