System Shock 2.
Very true. But I fear no one could do it justice.
Enchantermon on 21/5/2009 at 01:03
Agreed. I would have had it from no one except LGS or the old Irrational.

Severance: Blade of Darkness (serious echo in this thread)
Drakan: Order of the Flame
Kingpin
Psychonauts (minus the meat circus level :p)
Undying (delicious horror-fest, looks rad on a 3dfx card.)
Don't have Anachronox atm, just the demo.

Ion Storm Austin would have sufficed providing Warren Spector had nothing to do with it.
Also Undying is overrated.

System Shock 2, Call of Cthulhu, Undying.
And most of all The Legacy: Realms of Terror.

I'd like to see a sequel to obscure 1996 FPS Eradicator.
I played that. Or at least the demo of it. Up until then the entire concept of a FPS was so awesome that I had devoured any FPS's happily just because "it's just like Doom, man!" but I think Eradicator was the first one that made me think "meh, just another Doom clone". It just reeked of mediocrity. It might've been the long shadow of Quake looming over it that made it seem that way, however.
Off the top of my head, I want sequels for Urban Chaos, Terra Nova, Oni and BioForge. thnx

Frontier: First Encounters.
Elite IV is edging into DNF vapourware territory with every passing year. :(

Yesss.

XIII should have had a sequel. But this seems to be the age of the sequel surely? Or at least a serious rehash of already used ideas. Certainly in terms of the games I like seem to all have been getting sequels:
Thief 4
Deus Ex3
Mafia 2
Max Payne 3
But I don't seem to be aware of (if any) new games with equally captivating and original ideas.

What was that time-travel action game? Synchronicity? Or something like that? That looks astonishingly original imo.
