I'm new to DromEd, but I think I've run into a rather unique problem I can't find info on anywhere else.
Basically, I was trying to create a driveway for this house. I have one large roombrush outside that (once positioned) would be made of concrete. I then realized when I stepped on it that no sound was being produced. Its working fine with grass, but I can't get sound to generate with any other textures within the same room. See here: (

You will note that if I change that grass texture on both sides of that raised driveway to anything else, it will produce no sound there as well.
I've of course reportalized and rebuilt the room brushes a million times, I tried a bunch of textures, I tried deleting the rooms and the them and restarting, and tried making smaller test areas farther away to see if it was a location issue or something else. All produced the same outcome -- I could hear my footsteps on grass, but on no other texture (except sometimes concrete? not sure about that).
Textures in rooms I created earlier in my file are working fine (wood, brick, etc all sound fine). When I delete those rooms and recreate them, those textures still produce sounds. I only have 25 rooms total at this point. In other words, I don't think there's anything wrong with my room brushes, but rather something odd with my textures.
The only error I'm getting that sounds like it could be referring to my problem is
"Failed to load Palette interface/synch." Searching that does not produce any answers.
I don't think I have anything else going on that would cause this, but here's my printout: (

The 'Failed to load Palette Interface/Synch' error can be ignored.

I did a clean install of T2 and loaded it up from that version of DromEd. Still had the same problem upon loading the file.
I recorded a 1 minute video showing my problem. You can watch it here:
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cRSaciJtb8&feature=youtu.be)In the first part, I illustrate that there is one large room brush. Then, when entering game mode, I show that sound works fine on the grass texture, but not the cave texture. (just so we're clear, I tried a bunch of textures, including tile floor sets I use elsewhere). If I retextured that cave floor texture as grass, it works. Also, this isn't just at this spot; it's map wide.

Did you read the thread referenced above? Did you verify that the texture(s) you are having a problem with has/have been given a material type?

Sorry. I don't think I understood.
Yes, it does seem the textures were stripped of their metaproperties. I suppose I can restore them texture by texture manually. How could this have happened? Accidental deletion on my part seems unlikely for something like that. Anyway, thanks for the help everyone. :thumb:
