Motion Editor: Has anyone learned how to tell which direction the model is facing? - by Ryan Smith

Hey guys,
I've been tinkering with the motion editor and I've had some success at creating custom sword swings for Garrett. The only thing I really have a hard time understanding is what direction the PlayerArm is facing in relation to the three axes - X, Y, and Z.
Whenever I create an attack motion that works, it's purely by luck, trial and error. Usually for me, Garrett's attacks are in the wrong direction, often out of the player's vision.
If someone could tell me which direction the model is facing in relation to X, Y, and Z, I'd be grateful.
I've looked up Blender's Manual, images of the axis system on Google, and tried hundreds of times to make a successful attack animation. None of them are perfect and only 1 in 100 are in the right direction to begin with. :eww:
Thanks!
