Hey folks,
I tried both of the permanent movie fixes with my copy of TDP to no avail :(. For the first I tried to use the .bat text file a couple of times but I must have done something wrong. For the second option using the Run program, I got the error 0x80070005. Does anyone have any ideas?

Do they play in Windows Media Player? If not, un-install other codec packs you have and try (
http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm) k-lite, it seems to work well for most taffers.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but how does one uninstall other codec packs?

If you had manually installed any (as with a software package), then you would uninstall them, but it sounds like you haven't.
